About Us

Newbridge Academy for Kids will be opening in the fall of 2024. We will provide a safe and nurturing Christian environment that will support the growth and development of your child. The academy offers infant daycare, preschool, and childcare programs for children up to 12 years of age.

We understand how special your children are, which is why we provide a customized approach to care that focuses on each child's physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual development. Our programs use research-based, developmentally appropriate curriculums and activities so that children can reach their milestones while feeling successful and celebrated. We recognize the importance of early childhood education, and our programs are designed to promote a life-long love of learning. Our commitment is to provide a loving and nurturing environment for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children.

Newbridge Academy for Kids is a ministry of Newbridge Church, located in Wheeling, West Virginia.

Our mission is to build the foundation for the brightest future.

Meet the Team

  • Childcare Consultant & Management Partner

Nelson works with church-sponsored childcare and daycare centers to maximize ministry opportunities.

  • Goldbaugh is a native of upstate New York. She has spent the last 20 years working with children in various capacities. She moved to Wheeling for work and met her husband, Chris, 12 years ago during a trivia night event. They have been married for nine years and are raising their 13-year-old daughter and 6-year-old son in Wheeling. Before becoming the director of Newbridge Academy for Kids, Goldbaugh was the Children’s Ministry Director at Newbridge Church, formerly the Vineyard Church in Wheeling.

“As the Children’s Ministry Director, I have had the privilege to walk with so many families in their parenthood journeys and have gotten to share in their joys, triumphs, and even struggles. Opening Newbridge Academy and being able to offer more childcare spots during the day or after school support for families is an honor. We hope to fill that need for childcare in the Wheeling area. We want to be here to support a parent’s opportunity to work or attend school.”
